The burgers we're good. The service seemed slow. I had to hunt the waitress down and I saw other tables refilling their own drinks. She was kind but in no hurry. Felt kind of pricey for what you get. It did seem really clean!

Saw this little place online down the street from the hotel. It was getting late but I made it before closing. I'm so glad I did! Had a filet mignon special. Came with soup, salad and fries. The salad was simple but fresh, not bagged. Homemade veggie beef soup was very good. The steak came wrapped in bacon. The cook came out to check to make sure it was cooked to my liking. Good flavor too. Got pie to go. Service was quick and excellent. Don't pass this place up!

Small town charm...Love the old time seating. U can tell it was a local favorite. Food was great and the people were very nice. Would for sure go back. 👍

Homemade pies, homemade breakfast sausages also available for sale in bulk for your home kitchen. If you're traveling down I-44, do yourself a favor and pull off for a great home cooked meal.

New into town and wanted to try out a local food spot, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place! The food was delicious, and the customer service was beyond hospitable! They took care of us as if we were family. I would definitely recommend their cheeseburgers or their pancakes! Both are amazing! And to top it all off, their homemade cherry crumble pie is a MUST!!! Highly recommend this place!

It is a really old cafe in the middle of town. The guy I think that owns its name is kirk shor He is super nice however I think that places seen its better days. Service I got there this time was extremely sub par. It's a shame because I want to see the short boys make it. But I just don't think they can put it together

I had breakfast for supper. Eggs were perfect and nice ham steak that I couldn't finish. Enjoyed the service. Highly recommend.

I was pleasantly surprised how good their homemade chicken salad sandwich is. I don't usually order a tuna or chicken salad, because it one item that can go way wrong!Place is very clean, to include the restroom.Waitress was a sweetheart and kept an eye on the level of our beverages. Which is a huge plus in my book.

I've been coming here for over 50 years and have never been disappointed today. I ordered a short stack of pancakes and bacon cooked medium. The pancakes on one side we're so cooked to extreme that they were actually hard and I literally had to saw through them with the knife. The bacon arrived crispy. The only reason I didn't return the whole mess was because I was in a hurry and had to get to an appointment. I'm not saying I won't be back but it sure has gotten to the point where this place is starting to get run down. The quality of the meal is starting to waiver.

My husband is from this area and we come here every time we visit... It's delicious and homey- and always has big tables available for our herd! The only bad thing is if you go later in the day they might be out of biscuits

Think it was just an off day. Have been here before and it be amazing - today the meringue was very small and not cooked as long as it needed. Service was hurried. Will still go back, but hoping for better next time!

My Brothers and i take a camping trip with our sons every year. This year on the way home we were looking for a place for breakfast on our way home. After calling several places we found Lewis Cafe. The staff did not hesitate when i informed them that it would be a party of 15. We were pleasantly suprised at how accommodating the staff was and the food was pretty good as well. Our waitress, i forgot her name, was a sweetheart. Only complaint is that our food came in waves. Overall it was a good end to our annual camping trip. Thank you!!!

I had breakfast and the whole hog sausage was like something from my childhood growing up on the farm! Delicious! The young men working there were friendly and worked together in a efficient way keeping things running timely and smoothly even though it was very busy. Our entire dining experience took well under an hour. I highly recommend this to everyone!

First, the Service was excellent, always kept my coffee and water full. Farm fresh eggs, delicious bacon!! As you can tell, I ate it all!! Made from scratch biscuits and milk gravy hit the spot and a little French toast to complete the meal. I didn't have the burgers, but it's all local beef. They did it right at Lewis Cafe.

Down home cooking from this little country diner.Right on there menu they inform you, they raise there own beef, hog and chickens. You're not going to get a fresher cut of meat. Angus beef that attacks your taste buds and wrecks your senses. And there chief's no how to cook a thick succulent cut of beef. Steaks as soft as a pillow here.

The food today was spectacular. The service was so awesome. I feel right at home in this restaurant. Asked for my pie to be special made and just like that it was done. I love this place. I will be back and real soon.

What a charming little everyday cafe straight out of Mayberry. It reminds my of visiting my grandma's small town as a child. The food was great, as was the service. The PIE was to die for. I wouldn't change a thing.

Can a person complain about the portions being too large? We were traveling so couldn't take home the second wonderful meal left sitting on that table. We loved it.

The BEST onion rings. Home made daily specials. They use beef from their own cattle. Good prices and friendly, competent wait staff. It's almost like stepping back in time. Not a place for trendy new foods or vegans.

They had a good steak. They changed all their wait staff and had to go thru some changes

This place is soo good.. Everyone was very friendly and service was fast. Their ultimate breakfast sandwich was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had.

Had a wonderful breakfast. The biscuits & gravy are the finest you will find anywhere. If you stop in for lunch you must finish with pie. It is awesome. Our waitress was very courteous and friendly. All around great place.

The food was delicious (highly recommend the rye toast) and the service was wonderful. I saw another review that mentioned feeling like non-locals weren't treated as well, but I did not have that experience at all. Daniel was extremely attentive to us, made sure our coffee was refilled, and promptly brought out extra milk when we requested it. This restaurant was a great way to start the morning!

We went as a family. The service was 5 Star and the food better than 5 star. Good homemade food! I got the chicken fried chicken smothered in milk gravy. The best! The rest of the family got steak and beef. It was incredible and cooked just righ . Go and have a bite to eat but leave room for the rest of us.
